I have a policy when it comes to baby gifts, which – when they come from me – are generally quilts. They have to be done before the baby turns 3 months old. So, in the case of this baby (and this HST quilt), I’m two weeks behind. It’s the thought that counts, right?
I enjoy making small quilts because a) they accommodate my crafting ADD: they’re done quickly, so I can move on to something else and b) they’re something useful – I always felt terrible getting rid of any gift I received for one of my children’s births that I never used. Tiny giraffe picture frame, anyone?
